PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Overview
This policy covers two things: the EZ-CorridorKey desktop application and the website at ezcorridorkey.com. Both are built and operated by EZSCAPE VENTURES LLC.
The short version: the app processes your footage entirely on your own machine and your footage never leaves it. The app contains no telemetry, no analytics, and no accounts. This website is a static page with no accounts; it uses Microsoft Clarity for anonymous usage analytics, detailed below.
The desktop application
Your footage stays local
All processing happens on your computer. Imported clips, extracted frames, alpha mattes, and project files are read from and written to your local disk only. No inference or processing code path in the application makes any network request. Nothing you key is ever uploaded anywhere.
No telemetry, no analytics, no accounts
The application contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no usage metrics, and no account system. It never posts data to any server.
Update check
Mac App Store version: updates are delivered through the Apple App Store. The app performs no update check of its own and contacts no external server for updates.
Windows and GitHub installers: on launch, the app fetches a small version file from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) to see if a newer release exists. This request carries no personal data, no machine identity, and no usage information. If you prefer, disable it by setting the environment variable CORRIDORKEY_SKIP_UPDATE_CHECK=1. Downloading an update is always a separate, user-initiated action and comes from GitHub releases with signature verification.
Model downloads
Mac App Store version: everything is bundled inside the app. All AI model weights ship with it, and it downloads nothing from external sources. Period.
Windows and GitHub installers: AI model weights are large, so they are downloaded rather than bundled. Depending on which models you choose in the setup wizard (or first use of a feature, for SAM2, BiRefNet, and MatAnyone2), the app downloads weights from Hugging Face, GitHub releases, or the model author's release page. The optional FFmpeg repair on Windows downloads from the BtbN FFmpeg-Builds GitHub project. These are standard HTTPS downloads, subject to those services' own privacy policies. No data about you or your footage is sent with them.
Issue reporting
If an install fails, or if you use Help > Report Issue, the app opens your browser to a pre-filled GitHub issue containing diagnostic details (app version, OS, GPU, recent error log lines). Nothing is transmitted by the app itself: the report only exists once you review it and press Submit on GitHub while logged into your own GitHub account.
This website
- ezcorridorkey.com is a static site served through Cloudflare. We run no backend, no accounts, and no databases.
- We use Microsoft Clarity for site analytics, processed on Microsoft's servers per the Microsoft privacy statement.
- Visitors in the EU see a consent banner first. Clarity loads there only after you accept, and your choice is remembered for one year in a first-party cookie.
- Cloudflare, as the host, processes standard server logs (IP address, user agent) to serve and protect the site, per the Cloudflare privacy policy.
- The tutorial video is a click-to-load embed. No YouTube request is made until you press play; playback then uses youtube-nocookie.com and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
Purchases and downloads
The Windows installer is distributed through Gumroad, and the native Mac app through the Apple App Store. Payments, receipts, and any account data involved in those transactions are handled entirely by Gumroad and Apple under their own privacy policies. We receive no payment details.
Source code, releases, and the issue tracker live on GitHub. Anything you post there (issues, discussions, stars) is governed by GitHub's terms and privacy policy.
Third-party services
For reference, the complete list of third parties you may interact with through the app or this site: GitHub (source, releases, update checks, issues), Hugging Face (model weights), Gumroad (Windows installer), Apple App Store (Mac app), YouTube (videos), Cloudflare (site hosting), Microsoft Clarity (site analytics), Discord (community), Patreon and Ko-fi (support). Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Children
Neither the app nor this site is directed at children under 13, and we collect no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with an updated date. Since we collect nothing, changes are likely to stay boring.
